The Fox Box demonstrates a new and innovative method of parents and children learning numeracy skills together. If requested the designers and authors will design a Fox Box to correspond with a school or agency's theme or project. Each Fox Box contains: a fiction book corresponding to the theme of the box a non fiction book corresponding to the theme of the box three original and practical activities for parents to do with children corresponding to the theme of the box two toys linked to the theme of the box a set of notes explaining the aims and learning objectives behind the activities a set of instructions for the parents to help use the activities The Fox Box meets the requirements of the Primary Strategy and the Government's agenda for raising standards and awareness in adult numeracy. The organisation of the Fox Box is such that the contents of the box are labelled, branded and it contains a check list to help ensure the contents stay together as a pack.
